Juanita Louise Miller Cooter, 84, of Wards Fork Mill Road, Cullen, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at her residence. Born in Erwin, Tennessee, on August 1, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Calvin and Caroline Cooper Miller.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Munsey Young Cooter; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Wanda Cooter, Danny and Dolly Cooter all of Appomattox, and Tracey and Pam Cooter of Rustburg; a daughter, Debby C. Moquin of Derry, New Hampshire; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Smyth and wife Gretchen, and Jack Miller both of Ocala, Florida; two sisters, Lucille Hurd of Marion, Indiana and Geraldine Furlow of NY; a brother-in-law, Mike Harrison and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Chris Harrison and a brother, D. L. Miller.

Louise will be remembered as a godly wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of and secretary for Bible Baptist Church where, for many years, she taught Sunday School. She was a former hairdresser.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2012, in Bible Baptist Church by the Rev. Robert E. Lee, Jr. and the Rev. Jonathan Watson. Burial will follow in Cullen Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church at 2:00 p.m., Sunday until time of service and other times at her residence.
