THOMAS D. TINNIN, III

Thomas David Tinnin, III, 61, of Spring Oaks Drive, Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 16, 2012. He was the husband of Janet Tweedy Tinnin. Thomas was born in Lynchburg on April 21, 1951 a son of the late Dorothy Crank and Thomas D. Tinnin, Jr.

He was a member of Greenfield Baptist Church and an employee of Aerofin. Tommy was a family man and he was a wonderful husband, father, Papa and brother. He loved his family, his friends and devoted his life to serving others.

In addition to his wife, Janet, Tommy is survived by a son, Michael Farris and wife Marcy of Fredericksburg, daughter, Christy Taylor and husband Danny of Richmond; sister, Ann Irvin and husband Leslie of Madison Heights, two loving step-sons, Kevin Crance and wife Yulita, Nathan Crance and Nicole Wagner; Ten grandchildren, Gloria, Chelsey, Nathan Ryan, David, Landon, Jacey, Alison, Benjamin, Jacob, and Lucas; two nephews, Brian and Todd Irvin; two great-nephews, Gavin and Connor Irvin.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday May 18, 2012 at Greenfield Baptist Church, Gretna, officiated by the Rev. R.G. Rowland and the Rev. Michael Allen. A private burial service will take place at a later date.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home Thursday May 17, 2012 from 7-8:30 PM

The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 1030 Oakville Road, Appomattox, VA 24522 or the Campbell County Humane Society, P.O. Box 659, Rustburg, VA 24588.
